Reading this, both my heart and mind ache. That such a kind, wise man's life could end in such a tragic way is beyond comprehension. Clearly he was beloved and admired by all who knew him. May he continue to inspire.

It been almost a year since Melvin left us. His smile, words of encouragement and helping hands will always be remembered. I miss his part and advice at the annual Rogers memorial scholarship program.

Anne and Tammy I am so very for the loss of your Loving Husband and Father respectively. I had the pleasure of meeting Lt. Col. Melvin Rogers a few times years ago and have continued to know him through Anne. He was indeed a Wonderful Husband and Father
and a Great Marine! Anne and Tammy may the Lord God Jesus Christ please guide your mind, your heart and your body through your grieving process. Much love to both of you always!

Just got off the phone with my dear friend Anne Houston-Rogers. I am so sorry. I grew to know Melvin through Anne ,as we worked side by side for many years, here in Seattle. I am touched by the memorial you put together, Tammarrian. Your dear father and
his love and dedication to life is beautifully portrayed. With Father's Day approaching, I will remember both your and my dad who died 28 years this week at too early an age.

I did not know Melvin but see him in Tammarrian. What a wonderful tribute to a father, son, husband, uncle and friend. He will always be a part of you all.

I didn't know Melvin Rogers except through the impact he has left on his daughter Tammarrian's life. She is a wonderful, caring, playful, and loving person with a delightful laugh and infectious smile. If her life is any testament to her father, it is
clearly a good one that speaks to the love and care between them.

I remember Dad teaching me how to ride a motorcycle. One minute, he was showing me the clutch, throttle, and brake. The next minute he was chasing me down the street yelling, "Pull in, toes down!!" I miss you, Dadio.
